About Sunbury Web

I’m Stuart Dobson. I’m a Microsoft Certified Professional, I consult on AI for Australian businesses, and I live in Sunbury.

Sunbury Web came out of a fairly ordinary observation. Walking around Evans Street and out through the industrial estates, I kept finding good operators — sparkies, physios, cafés, landscapers, bookkeepers — with either no website at all, or one built by somebody’s nephew in 2014 that nobody can log into any more.

When those businesses do go looking for help, a Melbourne agency quotes them $8,000 and they quietly give up.

Why the city quote is so big

That $8,000 is real, and it’s mostly not the website. It’s an office in the CBD, an account manager, a project manager, a sales team on commission, and a designer who has never met you. The actual work of designing and building a five-page site for a local business is a fraction of it.

I don’t have any of that. You deal with me from the first coffee to the day it goes live, and the price reflects it.

What I won’t do

  • I won’t sell you a theme. Every site gets a design drawn for that business. If I bought a template and swapped the logo I’d be charging you for twenty minutes of work.
  • I won’t hold your site hostage. The domain goes in your name and you get every login on day one. If you want to leave, I’ll help you pack.
  • I won’t sell you AI you don’t need. I do this for a living, and most of what’s being sold to small businesses right now is a chatbot that annoys customers. The handful of things that genuinely help are on the home page, and I’ll tell you if none of them apply to you.
  • I won’t disappear. I’m ten minutes away. If something breaks on a Saturday, you have my mobile.

Where I work

Sunbury first, but I look after businesses across Diggers Rest, Bulla, Gisborne, Riddells Creek, Romsey and the Macedon Ranges. If you can meet me for a coffee, you’re local enough.
